Heidi Klum interview from Marie Claire magazine

Heidi Klum's split from husband Seal was one of the most shocking breakups of 2012, but don't worry, because she insists that it's really not that bad.

imagebam.com"People say, 'Oh, God, how devastating to go through a divorce,'" Klum says in the the new issue of Marie Claire magazine. "Did I wish for this to happen to my family? No. But everyone is healthy; we're moving on with our lives. If someone got [very sick], God forbid, that would be a real problem. It's not what I wanted – it's not what anyone wanted – but it's not a real problem." The 39-year-old and her singer hubby of more than six years, who were once so in love they renewed their vows every year on their anniversary, announced their split in January 2012. Since September, Klum's been open about the fact that she's in love with her bodyguard of four years, Martin Kirsten, although she doesn't plan to marry him or anyone else. Ever.

ImageBam image upload"I don't think so. No. No," insists Klum, who was married to stylist Ric Pipino from 1997 to 2002 before Seal. "I wanted to keep the memory of our wedding alive every year, and that's why I thought it would be fun to get married over and over. But now I don't think it is that important. I'm not angry about anything, but I don't think I will. Maybe if I'm with someone for 15 or 20 years, and we do it in our old age as a fun thing to do .... But I don't have the urgency anymore."

imagebam.comKlum is equally confident in what she does want out of a relationship. "I don't like to feel like the dominant person," the mom of four reveals. "I like to have a strong man by my side. The most important thing is to be free and real. You should never fake something – and I don't mean an orgasm. You should be kind and sometimes do things that other people want, but you have to be you." She's especially adamant that a partner be honest about their needs in the bedroom. "Some people are more experimental in bed and others are more boring. If you are wild and crazy, bring it on so the other person is well aware that you have little devil horns that come out every once in a while," she says. "It's good to make an effort to dress up sometimes, to do things outside of the norm."
And although the "Project Runway" star is gorgeous as ever, she claims she's not interested in dating a drastically younger man. "I can understand why a woman finds a young man attractive, because the truth is that when men get older, their shape changes," notes Klum, whose show returns to Lifetime this month. "Younger men train more, and when the clothes come off, it is nice to look at a sexy, ripped body. But I am realistic. I'm turning 40 next year; I don't think I could deal with waking up next to a 25-year-old."

Kelly Clarkson: ‘I Get Hit On by the Hottest Girls Ever’

While many a famous female may shy away from talking about her love life, songstress Kelly Clarkson isn’t hiding the fact that she’s head-over-heels in love with her new fiancé, music manager Brandon Blackstock. "Brandon's totally the one. I've never been so happy," she says in the February issue of Cosmopolitan, later adding, “I've never been truly loved like I am right now.”

But thanks to six years of being single in the spotlight, some fans thought that when she finally did find “the one,” it would be Ms. Right instead of Mr. Right.

“People think, "Oh, she's been single for too long." That's kind of an insult to the gay community. Being single doesn't mean you're gay. But I'm never insulted by it, obviously,” explains the 30-year-old, who says she’s instead been flattered. “I mean, I get hit on by the hottest girls ever. Oh, my god, if I were a lesbian, I would be so in luck. But it's just not my thing. I've always batted for the boys' team.”

As for the men who make passes at her, well, that’s a different story. “Usually the guys who hit on me are tools. It's the ones that don't hit on you that make you like "Why didn't you ask me out?" It's like “American Idol” auditions: The guys who are the most confident are the horrible ones, and the ones who are good have no confidence at all.” It’s hard to believe it’s been more than a decade since Clarkson won the first-ever season of the now iconic reality competition show, although Clarkson says it seems even longer to her. “It feels like 20 years. Things were so weird, so fast for me, that I kind of skipped over the surreal part,” she explains. And she’s finally beyond getting hung up on the fact not everyone is going to take a young female songwriter seriously.

“I think that it takes a while. And also, I would compromise and bend and break to get people to respect me. I kept thinking that they're never gonna respect what I do--but the thing I've learned is, I'm not working for that,” shares the Texas native. “ I learned at 30: Okay, I don't really care if people respect me. I love what I do. And if I don't wanna do something, just say no and I don't need a reason. I used to be a major people pleaser, and that was my biggest downfall.”

Another lesson? Learning to lose weight the right way, which helped Clarkson – whose weight seems to be constant fodder for the media – to lose 18 pounds.

“I think that happens when you fall in love or date someone. If I'm going to be kissing or messing around, I gotta look good. There's not a fad diet," says the "Before Your Love" singer, who got engaged last month. "I was working with a trainer, and she said, ‘You'd be amazed the amount of weight you can drop by halving your portions. I know it sounds crazy, but do it for two weeks and watch what happens.' I just cut back my portions, I stopped eating late at night, and I work out a little more than I used to … I think it happens when you get really busy as well. But when I'm on my off-time--girl, those 18 might come back.”

Zooey Deschanel: A Lot of Actresses Are ‘Unhealthy-Skinny’

Some actors may think making the transition from film to television is a step down in their careers, but not Zooey Deschanel! The “New Girl” star, whose resume boasts movies like “Elf,” “500 Days of Summer,” and “Almost Famous,” happily hopped to the small screen last year for the role of quirky Jess on the Fox comedy – because she doesn’t see a difference between film and TV.

ImageBam image upload"I’m just going where the material is,” Deschanel tells Glamour in its February issue. “Some of the smartest people run the network I’m on. People sometimes say, ‘Oh, you were a movie star,’ and I’m like, ‘No, I was a supporting actress.’ I wasn’t an A-list actress, and I’m fine with that. I’m proud of what I did in film. But getting to do the stuff that I was passionate about was such an uphill battle. If “New Girl” had been a movie, I don’t know whether I would have been given the opportunity to do it."

ImageBam image uploadAnd now that she has this platform, the actress, who is about to celebrate her 33rd birthday, is eager to become a positive role model with her “adorkable” fashion sense and healthy body. Insisting she does not feel any pressure to look a certain way, Deschanel adds, “Women I admired growing up – Debra Winger, Diane Keaton, Meryl Streep – were all beautiful and thin, but not too thin. There are a lot of actresses who are unhealthy-skinny – much, much too skinny … I’m a very small person, and if I lost 15 pounds, I’d look like them; it’s scary. For young girls, what does that say? You need to look this way to be successful? That’s not true. You do not need to look or be anorexic to be successful in Hollywood. The range of what’s acceptable is larger than what people believe."

ImageBam image uploadAnd although Deschanel certainly does not look like the cookie-cutter Hollywood actress, she has used her quirky personality and features – especially her super-cute bangs – to create her own branding of sorts. “But I’ve never been like, ‘Let’s calculate an image,’” she tells the magazine. “I’m just, ‘I like that. Let’s do that.’ I grew up loving French New Wave movies, and so a lot of what I like is that style. It’s just about doing what you like so that when you look at yourself, you’re not disgusted. And I’m all about unintentional. I’m not a calculated person…. I think making a movie or a record, the best things happen by accident – and those end up being the magic. Every time I’ve followed my gut it’s been better than when I’ve tried to do what I was supposed to do."

ImageBam image uploadBut all her success has come with criticism. Due to her atypical Hollywood sensibility – she’s a brunette who prefers modest clothing and often posts silly videos of herself singing old-school songs while playing a ukulele online – some feminist groups have branded her as controversial. But Deschanel shrugs it off, insisting, "I’m just being myself. There is not an ounce of me that believes any of that crap that they say. We can’t be feminine and be feminists and be successful? I want to be a f--king feminist and wear a f--king Peter Pan collar. So f--king what?"

Sofia Vergara, Fiancé Nick Loeb Kicked Out of New Year’s Eve Party Following Brawl: Report

Well, that’s one way to ring in the new year.
Sofia Vergara and her fiancé Nick Loeb were reportedly given the boot from a New Year’s Eve bash in Miami after he got into a fight with a fellow reveler – and the “Modern Family” actress’ dress was ripped in the melee. According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the Florida politician had been acting “tense” all night – primarily because he and Vergara were partying in the VIP section alongside her ex, nightlife king Chris Paciello, who was hosting the soiree at new club Story. But even though the sexy brunette and Paciello are only friends (they broke up more than a decade ago!), Loeb was a little on edge.

“In the early hours, Nick and Sofia were arguing before he got into a dispute with somebody at a neighboring table,” an eyewitness tells the paper. “Some pushing and shoving started.” Apparently the 40-year-old actress attempted to intervene – and her blue-and-black strapless Mason by Michelle Mason dress was either torn or pulled down, exposing her cleavage to bystanders. Her 20-year-old son Manolo was reportedly so offended – and probably embarrassed – that he left the club immediately. Loeb, meanwhile, was kicked out by security as Vergara trailed behind him.

“Things got pretty heated, but she was never hit,” a second source tells Page Six. “Nick was pretty bruised from struggling with security. None of the drama was Sofia’s fault, but despite the big scene [Loeb] created, they made up outside the club, and she took him back to their hotel.”

Aside from the reported dustup, Vergara and Loeb, 37, seem to be on good terms. On New Year’s Day, she posted a photo of her man while out for a Chinese dinner, and on Wednesday, she added another of them having lunch … with her playfully sticking her tongue in his ear while hugging him.

The relationship has definitely had its share of tempestuous moments. Vergara and Loeb split this past May after two years of dating – reportedly because he was controlling and she was too fiery – only to reunite and get engaged in July on her 40th birthday.

Vergara’s rep did not respond to omg!’s request for a comment on the New Year’s Eve drama.
